St. Therese Institute - EVENT REGISTRATION - Standard Terms and Conditions

GENERAL POLICIES:

We ask that all participants show courtesy and respect to staff, students and other participants.

Photographs and Video of the event and participants may be taken by our designated photographers for potential use in our advertising and publications, as well as on our website and social media accounts. Registrants under the age of 18 require a signed parental consent form. Participants aged 18+ may opt-out of this item of the terms and conditions by notifying us in writing that they do not permit usage of any photos or video taken during the event where their face is recognizable.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

Our "Standard" or default over-night accommodation package include double-occupancy (semi-private) accommodations and are based on a per-person rate (not per-room). Linens and washcloths/towels are provided. Our guest wing was originally build as a convent: All rooms feature an in-room sink and writing space;  most rooms utilize common bathrooms and showers located just down the hall.

Depending on the event and our accommodation capacity, we may assign you a roommate (like-gender, with the exception of married couples). If you would like to room with a particular person or have a specific request or need, please contact us in advance of the event and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

St. Therese has a limited number of multi-occupancy rooms suitable for families or groups wishing to remain together. Also, single-occupancy rooms may be available (dependent on space available; an additional fee may apply). Please contact us for more information and availability

PARENTAL CONSENT for PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18:

1) To aide us in promoting our events and programming, we ask that you have a parent or guardian sign our Photo and Video Consent Form, allowing us to include you in our online posts, print materials, future advertising, etc.

2) For events when participants will be staying overnight at St. Therese Institute, we require a completed and signed Diocese of Saskatoon - Covenant of Care - Appendix E - Parental Consent Form (80kb, PDF). Pursuant to the Covenant of Care, we will provide the registrant/parent with event-specific information regarding sleeping arrangements, participant age ranges, contact numbers, etc., prior to the event start date.

PAYMENT:

Full payment is due at time of registration.

CANCELLATION, REFUND and DEPOSIT:

If you need cancel your registration, a refund will be issued, minus any non-refundable deposit (see below), via the original method of payment. If St. Therese has to cancel the event for whatever reason, the full amount paid (including the deposit) will be refunded to you.

For Springtime of the Faith courses and Advent/Lent conferences (and other events with a paid-value of $100 or more) : Your registration fee includes a $30 deposit. This deposit is fully refundable up to 7 days before the event start date, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable, but transferable to another St. Therese Institute course or conference. You may also choose to  turn the deposit (and any portion of your conference fee) into a one-time, tax-deductible donation.

For Christ if Alive retreats (and other events with a paid-value of less than $100): Your registration fee includes a deposit of the lesser of $20 or 40%. This deposit is fully refundable up to 7 days before the event start date, after which the deposit becomes non-refundable, but transferable to another St. Therese Institute course or conference. You may also choose to  turn the deposit (and any portion of your conference fee) into a one-time, tax-deductible donation.
