Go deeper into the Sunday Gospel, and make "keeping holy the Sabbath" a more important part of your life and the life of your family, household or community.

One way that we strive to do this in St. Therese Institute's faith formation program is by inviting our students to participate in a weekly "The Lord's Day Celebration".

Happy Feast of the Solemnity of the Annunciation (March 25)!

One of the favorite traditional prayers that we use here at St. Therese is The Angelus, which we recite before meals as part of our meal-time grace . The prayer recalls the Annunciation, the Archangel Gabriel appearing to Mary, announcing that she would be the mother of the expected Emmanuel, and Mary's "Fiat, Yes!". The Angelus prayer was traditionally recited three times daily: 6:00am, 12:00pm and 6:00pm, and in some places. the church bell was rung, calling the faithful to prayer.

If you would like to start making use of this prayer in your home, feel free to download and print a copy of our Meal-Time Prayer Card (PDF 6.2MB).

Making Chaplets - Spiritual Communion / Blessed Sacrament Chaplet (download the card as a printable PDF - 3.0mb)

We created this card for our students during this time of not being able to attend Mass or receive the Eucharist due to Masses being cancelled because of pandemic. You can easily make your own set of chaplet beads, even if you don't have a Blessed Sacrament or Eucharistic medal (you can substitute with a crucifix, another suitable religious medal, or create your own for now on whatever medium you can; of course you can try and source one online too).

You can download a print-resolution PDF of the prayer card by clicking the link below. The card features our own Bishop Mark Hagemoen (Dioc. Saskatoon) giving the Eucharist to one of our students in the St. Therese chapel as a reminder to us all of our Bishops' (and our Priests') love and care for us—how they truly do long to give us Jesus, Eucharistically present in His body, blood, soul and divinity, during these days when we need to receive Him most, and the ache in their hearts in not being able to do so right now— and as a reminder to pray for our Bishops (and priests and the Pope) during this time.

We hope that you may find this chaplet to be a source of comfort and a way of drawing close to our Lord "at least spiritually [in your] heart".

The Blessed Sacrament Chaplet for Spiritual Communion

This chaplet consists of a medal of the Blessed Sacrament and 33 beads, recalling the 33 years of Christ’s life on earth.

On the medal one makes a Spiritual Communion as follows:

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen

On each bead say:

Jesus, in the Blessed Sacrament, have mercy on us!

(Approved May 20, 1911 by Pope St. Pius X)

"THE MIND CAN ONLY ABSORB WHAT THE SEAT CAN ENDURE..." and the chairs we have have aren't helping in that department!!!

Please help us to raise the funds needed to replace our 1950's-era plywood CHAIRS that we use for events. We strive to provide an environment where people can grow deeper in their faith and knowledge— and we know that we can do this very well!—but, "the mind can only absorb what the seat can endure," and we know that replacing our old chairs is one "little thing" that we can do to make the learning experience more fruitful for our students and guests.

But... WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DO IT!!!

Please donate towards our CHAIRitable Campaign at www.StTherese.ca/Chairs, by calling 1(306)369.2555.

Your donation, whether $10 or $1000, helps us move towards this goal. And you can also help us out by **SHARING** this post on your Wall, and with friends or businesses that may be willing to help!

St. Therese is a registered Canadian charitable organization and we are thus able to issue tax receipts for eligable donations. Or, if you are donating to us through Facebook, then your tax receipt will be issed via Facebook and the PayPal Giving Fund.

Our ultimate goal is 200 padded "banquet"-style chairs. Current quotes are currently sitting $33.00-$38.00 per chair (add taxes and delivery and that's about $45.00-$48.50 per chair or $9,000-$9,700 total). Yes, that is a lot of money, but anyone who has sat in the old rough-edged, duct-taped-up chairs can attest to this need!

Please donate towards our CHAIRitable Campaign at www.StTherese.ca/Chairs, by calling 1(306)369.2555. Tax receipts are available.

This campaign was launched on #GivingTuesday 2019 :) The conference "last weekend" was our Advent Conference with D.r Mary Healy (Nov. 29-Dec. 1).

May #GodBlessYou!!

100 Years Old - 1919-2019Dear Alumni, Patrons and Supporters of St. Therese Institute,

I would like to extend greetings on behalf of the Board of Directors.

It was on November 9th, 1919 that the Ursuline Sisters of Bruno held the grand opening celebration for the newly built Ursuline Convent. One might picture that it was a beautiful fall day, with a jovial crowd filled with high expectations for the future of the school. The Ursuline Sisters, many of whom are laid to rest in the nearby cemetery, must be very pleased that their legacy continues to this day.

The Spring/Summer 2019 edition of the little way magazine is here!

Christ is Alive! He is our hope! Find out what this means to our staff and students as they live our the call to holiness, the little way, and a devotion to the St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus & the Holy Face.

You can read it online by following the ReadMore link below. If you're on our postal mail list, you should see the print edition arriving soon too!
