1) What is the School of Faith and Mission?

The St. Therese School of Faith and Mission is a nine month program designed to help you deepen and explore your faith and connect with your God-given mission in life.

2) Who can come?

Any person aged 17+ with a sincere desire to grow in relationship with Jesus and live a deep life of faith and mission. We especially encourage graduates of other formation programs and ministries who are searching for their next step on life’s journey.

3) What will I experience and learn?

St. Therese is a school of spiritual life and mission. St. Therese’s believes that a well balanced Catholic formation includes intellectual and spiritual formation. Therefore, while receiving faith, mission, and leadership formation, the St. Therese student is intellectually and academically equipped to meet the challenges a modern disciple meets walking with Jesus in the world today. Through the example of St. Thérèse, patron of the School, St. Thérèse School is a spiritual environment forming disciples in Jesus Christ. St. Thérèse teaches by her example her simple little way of love and this program reflects her approach to God. St. Thérèse’s is a Christ-centred environment of Catholic spirituality and Catholic action. We aim to catechise the whole person into the love that never ends.

Our "Believing in Love: The Spirituality of Imperfection" Program of Formation is based around 3 trimesters. The teachings in each trimester will follow the trimesters' topics of Faith, Love and Mission.

Guest teachers and workshop animators (as approved by the Bishop) will augment the Core Program by providing their in-depth expertise and teaching to the three main themes of the year’s program. The guest teachers will amplify core classes by both their teaching and witness.

Upon completion of the program, students are encouraged to persue ministry opportunities. These may include youth ministry, team outreach ministry, parish ministry, international missionary work, inner city ministry, and a wide variety of other areas.

“Being Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction.”     - Pope Benedict XVI, Deus Caritas Est.
